Hey all

Having some trouble in joining my coping through on a profile edited wall. The coping works well as you would expect up until the point were I have angled the wall as can be seen on the attached jpeg. At this point the coping does not appear to recognise the difference in levels and carries on through. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Being able to edit wall profiles is a nice feature of Revit but the downside is that sweeps do not follow the edit - as far as I can see anyway.

I have similar problems running a 'cam stones' sweep on the top of dry stone boundary walls locally.
I've thought of just making a sweep after creating the wall by picking the top edge of the wall but not actually tried it yet.

You could sweep the entire wall shape I guess - which is what I used to do in Nemetschek Allplan - it has special wall command for it - and the base would follow any digital terrain model underneath - ideal for field walls.

In Revit, as far as I know, you can only align a wall base to a straight reference plane and not to a DTM (?)
and sweeps ignore the reference plane alignment just as when editing the profile of the wall - i.e. same as your case.

Looks to me as though it is just something they have never got round to fixing.
