legend components backwards

Why on earth are you messing with legend components?

im not.
some guy at AU was teaching that the top of screen is the front view
and the bottom is back when creating families and in the project...
been trying to figure out why he would think that.
he said its because of how legend components display.
cant figure out why you would ignore the viewcube and every other obvious clue to the orientation of things and build your families backwards....
almost had me convince i was doing it wrong.

i think autodesk needs to fix this pronto...cuz they are confusing people.
