When i create a new detail bubble of section line and similar they show up in every view. Is there a way to have them only show up in the view that i'm working in and be hidden or something in the other views, so I can then go back in and turn them on in appropriate views?

Is it that you want it toggled on Views where you want it? By default it will appear everywhere on certain scales, also on Corresponding phases. - Meaning If you cut a section of New Construction.... then your section will show only on New Construction but not Existing Phase.

In our office we have a problem with people putting in section marks just for reference. Then they show up in someone else's view without their knowing it. Turning random section marks off is getting to be a lot of work. I was hoping there is a way to have it only visible in the view created. Maybe have it hidden by default in all other views so you can unhide as needed?

There is a check box, that unreferenced views will not print. You can also make "types" of section marks, and apply view filters in 2010 to turn those off by default in the views placed on sheets.

Thanks for the info Scott. Where would I set this so that the unreferenced views will not print? I'm using revit 2010.

Under your print settings

What we do here is have all work-in-progress Section markers etc named Section-WIP and then have alot of our views with a filter that turns those off so any 'new' work-in-progress sections created dont turn up on 'final' sheets
