can any1 tell me how 2 put doors on a curtain wall?

They have to be made with the curtainwall doors family template. Then they act like doors, but are a curtainwall panel. Tab to select the pantl, and then you can use the type selector to change it to a panel family that looks like a door, and schedules like a door. You have to have this panel type loaded first.

Another option is tab to select the curtain panel where the door will be located, select it and change it to be a wall from the pull down list. Once it is a wall, any regular door can be inserted into it.

Has anyone run into issues with doing curtain wall doors this way? Drawbacks, benefits? We've yet to develop a decent curtain wall door library and don't have a lot of time to right now, but we do have regular doors we could use.

It's just extra work is all. Plus you need to make sure you use a door family that doesn't have any casing or other trim or frames in the family.

Definitely something you wanna avoid. More work, will break if the grid line spacing becomes smalelr then the door, etc..
