I'm sure it's really simple or you can't change it at all haha

Yes I'd like to know too!
I'd like to put simply the year in various spots of my titleblock for copyright info.

Go ahead, put desired date information into your titleblocks but you need to do it as a text parameter assigned to your project. Then you will be able to format it any way you wish. Such text parameter is better suited for your purpose rather then automatically formatted datestamp. Datestamp is designed to compute its value at print time. If date information on you title block is intended to reflect the date when design is issued then you don't want it to change at print time. Similarly true copyright protection is not achieved by just using the year of print date. Using datestamp may not be appropriate beyond its design intent.

Hi all,
Is there a way to just have the date stamp? We'd like to have the date of printing on sheets, but find it unnecessary to have the time as well.

I too would like to know if you can place the date stamp on a sheet w/o the time.....or maybe is there a way to program the API to display a reminder at plot time so you could have the choice to update the manual date?
As L Raiz has already stated. Make your Date stamp into a Label that you can adjust on your project.
