Lineweight control in Families

Does anyone know why the lineweight in this family is so thick even though I set it to be 1 in the generic annotation family that is loaded into the Electrical symbol?

Look at the annotation family. The lineweight is set at 7. When any item loads into a project or another family, it uses the settings in the host if it exists. Since there is no seeting in your host family, the 7 is brought in. NOTE: Once the setting is established in the host, it must be changed in the host or purged before any changes made to the family will be brought in with it.
