Turn off sweeps in plan?

I have wall types with a few brick wainscot sweeps along the bottom portion of the wall. Is there any way to turn these off in plan? I prefer to dimension site elements to the outside finished face of brick, and it's difficult in site plans to know which line to dimension to, since we usually have site plans on wireframe view. In my particular case I have 3 additional lines showing up outside the actual finished wall face, which correspond to various edges of the brick sweeps.

Create a new subcategory of walls in object styles, assign the sweep to that subcategory, then turn off the subcategory in plan through v/g.

These sweeps are part of the wall type. Any way to assign those to a subcategory? I'm thinking no...
