Lighting on ceiling of revit model

Hello just wondering could anyone explain to me how to add lighting onto the ceiling of a design. i have been having great difficulty.

load a light fixture family(that is ceiling hosted) and go to your ceiling plan and place the light fixture. NOte you have to have a ceiling.
