How can I create a section of my building, and also derive details from this section?

I would suggest you taking a look at the Revit tutorial about documenting the project. But to answer your question, You can find the section tool under the view menu in Revit and just draw the section line where you want ti to cut your building. To create detail from there, you can add callouts which will create more views that can be set at different scales and have more details.
