Symbols at the beam's end

Hi,

When I click a beam there are three symbols appear at the end of beam (with blue colour): square, circle and two arrows point to opposite directions.

What are they? and which symbol I have to click if I am changing beam's length?

Those are the beam's graphical controls. There is lots of info in the Help file about them. Just hit F1, click Index, and type "Beams" and read through all the topics.
