No but I plan to this spring! What a great system. How about the 6500 Covet?
Unfortunately, I received my M6400 Covet a week after the M6500 came out. So, I couldn't cancel the order at that time. Returing it and ordering the M6500 would have cost me an aditional 750 euros, so I kept the M6400 and Dell was graceful enough to reduce the price on my bill with 750 euro.
While I'm still in the honeymoon period and not able to give a clear judgment, i will take the risk and say that the M6400, which is identical to the M6500 (depending on the configuration), is a fantastic machine. It's quiet, very fast, the display is gorgeous and the design comes close to the unbeatable Macbook pro. My previous notebook had a Nvidia Quadro FX3600m (512GB), which had reasonable performance. There is noticeable difference between the FX3600m and the FX3700m which comes with the M6400. So far no display graphics failure.
That said, my M6400 is configured with a Core 2 quad 2.54Ghz extreme , 8GB (1066MHz) and a Nvidia Quadro FX3700m(1gb) gives great performance. So the M6500 with a Core i7- 920XM Quad Core , 8GB or 16 GB (1600 Mhz), a raid 5 configuration with (SSD HD) and the next generation NVidia FX3800M will be a beast.
Keep in mind though that for some people, the weight and the poor battery life may be an issue.

Nice System,
I have a Lenovo W700, with Intel QX9300 CPU,
But In Device Manager my QX9300 reads Q9300,
and NVIDIA Quadro FX 7300M, 8GB 1066MHz RAM.
and Revit Architecture 2010, Autodesk 2010, Crashes all the time.
On Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, and it did the same thing on Vista Ultimate 64bit,

A raid 5 configuration with (SSD HD)
How are you getting a Raid 5 Configuration,
I didn't see this offered on the site, is this something you setup with sales?
This Would be a good thing to know, before I order.

You can order two harddrives and one SSD minicard. However, I'm not sure if the SSD minicard is available at this moment. Ask the Dell rep. for that option when you order.

Ok, I will ask the rep, about this.
Did you get the 65Gb SSD minicard option ?
Putting the Operating system, and swap file on a 65Gb SSD would be a good deal,
and a Tb for Programs and storage :-) WOW yes I like the sound of that.
I spoke to a rep on 12/24/09; he said he was going to have an ISV rep call me on Monday.
Because I want to be shore that Autodesk Revit Architecture Suite 2010,
will work on the M6500.
I already have a Lenovo W700, that will not work with Autodesk Revit Architecture Suite 2010.

At the moment, SSD is not yet available in Dell(in my region only, I think). But when it does, I'm gonna get one and use it as a start up drive. :-)

So far, I haven't had any problems with Revit or any other Autodesk software. I also own a HP8710 workstation that is ISV certified with a Nvidia Quadro FX3600m videocard. Many times I had graphic card failure issues with it, so I'm not sure how reliable such a certificate is.
If you want to save money, get the best processor and graphics card available and buy the memory and harddrive somewhere else.

Yeah -- like, for AutoCAD, Max and Inventor :?
There's nothing like that for Revit! We're totally left out on ANY certification!

Good spec. I'm still waiting for mine (I ordered mine last Dec 23). I ordered i7-820 to fit my budget. If I were you, if I can squeeze more cash. I will get a 128GB SSD as the primary drive and a secondary 7200RPM HD.

So far, the fastest PC I ever use. I remember somewhere in one of Dell's add... "work with the speed of your thought". I'm beggining to believed this is true. And I'm having fun working with this new machine.

I wish I found this thread months ago. I have the M6500 covet. The orange case makes me feel special. I ordered it in November 09, but it got back ordered quickly. I got it the first couple weeks in Jan 10.
Specs:
i7820 processor
8g ram
Nvidia Quadro FX 3800M 1G video card
edge to edge display
I only went with one hard drive though. 7200 RPM 350Gb.
And I got a great deal. So great, in fact, I can't mention what I got it for. lol
It kicks butt.

So is there any update on this?
-Intel® Core™ i7-820QM Processor (8M Cache, 1.73GHz)
-3Yr ProSupport for End Users: NBD Onsite Service
-Dell Wireless 1397 (802.11b/g) MiniCard
-Palmrest without Contactless Smart Card
-8GB (4x2GB) 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM Memory
-320GB SATA (7200RPM) Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive
Is the 1.73Ghz processor handling 100mb+ Revit files ok? I'm spec'ing out the exact same computer, just wondering if its worth it. My current 2.13Ghz duo core is struggling enough, I'd hate to downgrade processors, granted, the i7-820QM "Turbo speed" on the 1.73 is really 3.06Ghz. Are you ok with its performance?
