core interior face

Is it just me or does the following occur with you guys as well?

draw a wall on a grid with the rectangle tool with core interior face, the wall seems to keep appearing on the wrong side. Even when flipping it with the spacebar.

It's a wall with one layer between the core boundary and one on the outside.

A 'regular' wall with one layer between the core works fine.

Sorry, but I can't replicate your problem. I tried both simple single withe walls and more complex walls with interior and exterior substrate and finish layers. All wall types behaved as expected.
