Does anyone know how to change the out of the box elevation tag to resemble something else? When I was at AU in 2008 one of the teachers opened up revit and his standard elevation tags resembled the typical AIA elevation tag. I didn't get an opportunity to ask him how he did it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

As far as I know, you either get a square or a circle to choose from. You can adjust the size of those, but that's about it. It could be that the person created a generic annotation tag and filled in the sheet info manually...?

Probably used a Section as an elevation, with the tail turned off and extension line pulled into section head.

Do you remember who was doing the presentation?
I also have not heard of any way to modify the elevations tags aside from the few built in options and the Section trick that Scott just mentioned. If there is something new in store for the elevation tags then I know alot of people who would be very excited by this news.

I was as surprised to see it. It was definatly not a section mark because when he opened up a new file they were there just like the boxes are there when a brand new file is opened. He drew some walls and then clicked on them and the elevation came up. I have used both the section trick with the tail turned off and a dumb elevation tag, but I figured that someone might know of how to edit the tag by now. I will have to dig up my course schedule from when i went to see if i can find out who the teacher was.

Just because it was there when they went File New, doesnt mean they arent section marks. It just means he set the section marks up in his template, so thats what is there prior to making a new file.
