I'm trying to create a family that has a few different sizes of an object. 1", 3/4", and 1/2". I want to show just three drafting lines in the 1" and two in the 3/4" and 1 for the 1/2". So when you load the family and select 1" you get a family with three drafting lines.
I'm not sure how to do this in the family. I'm sure you can turn on/off lines based on what type you have selected I just don't know how.

You use Yes/No parameters for the Visibility check box of each line, and then you set up a couple of family types, and check and uncheck the appropriate boxes.
What exactly are you trying to make?

Thanks for the feedback. I lost my internet for a while yesterday so I couldn't reply but I did get it to work.
Thanks

I'm trying to do the same thing, just applying it to one line. I setup the Visibility Parameter, set it differently on 2 types, load it into a new project... yet it just never shows up. Any suggestions?
Edit: Nevermind. I had an invisible line of a masking region aligning over the line thus hiding the line indefinitely. So, I tried setting the visibility parameter to the line inside the sketch of the masking region... but now it just shows up all the time. Any suggestions? Haha.
Btw, I have two masking regions side by side so I have a line from each masking region aligning over the top of each other. I set the parameter to both but somehow still just shows up. I also made sure the original line was deleted, so that's not the one showing up.
Edit: So, I figured it out. I just made an overall masking region that covers the other two masking regions and set a visibility to that, thus getting rid of the line. Probably would be better to show you guys a picture to show you but... I hoped I help anyone out there. Hahah. Thanks anyway!
