Plumbing fixture-can I remove the hosting?

Hi...okay so I am really new to family creation. I have found on Seek a urinal that I want to use in my project...the problem is it is hosted to an extrusion (wall)...so when I try to bring it into my model it won't "stick" to the wall because the walls are from a linked in arch model. How do I change or remove the hosting so I can use this fixture?
I have tried to open a "Generic" template and then copy/paste in the urinal which it does, but when I bring it into my model, I only see the stuff I added to it...like CW and Waste connection points.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried pasting it into a generic face based template? I have had some luck with this in the past on few families.

I have tried to do the same thing and I also did not have any luck. It may be better to try to recreate the same family from scratch in a face based family versus and hosted family. For this one I am afraid that there is no quick fix.

Pasting worked for me too on a few families.
