I am using wall reveals to show metal panel reveals on a curved wall. The horizontal reveals work fine, but when I try a vertical reveal I keep getting the error message "Failed to cut wall". However, if I try the reveal with a wider profile (much wider than I need), it will work. Is there some sort of tolerance I'm running into here based on the diameter of the curve and the width of the reveal?

Will it work if your profile only goes partially into the wall? For example, the profile is say 3" deep and only 1.5" of it cuts into the wall.

Yes, this seems to work. Kind of clunky though, because I have to initially draw the reveal as a different type, adjust the offset, and then change to the correct type. Changing the default offset in the type properties doesn't seem to do it.

we are seeing an issue with vertical wall reveals on a curved wall that gives a serious error in the file. If you remove 20 of the reveals on the curved wall there are no more serious errors and the serious error only happens on 64 bit machines not 32 bit. There are 298 reveals in the file. Has anyone else seen a serious error in the file with vertical reveals and curved walls in 2010? The fix was to remove them and use detail lines. The second they are replaced it errors again. Any ideas / suggestions. we have a support request into Autodesk and our reseller but now word as to why reveals would cause this.
