A general question here, but I was wondering if anyone has a method or a solution to use sketchup models inside of Revit, particularly automobiles. It seems that Revit does not have a good selection of vehicles to choose from, and when we do renderings and models, we want to have more than just the new Beetle in the model. Any help wqould be appreciated.

You can bring in modeled cars from other software, but theyre really slow down rendering times. Youll also have to manage their materials through the Imported Objects dialogue, instead of regular material parameters.

And i mean, they *REALLY* slow down rendering. The Beetle is RPC, which is a much better option. Get some RPC cars, and youll be sittin pretty.

To use the Sketchup files, start with "New Family" & bring object into there, then saveas something. I like some of the plants that Sk has & this method works fine.

The problem is there is no good cars in the RPC content, except the Beetle. Those get kind of old after a while.

There are tons of cars, you have to buy them from Archvision...
