Projection Section Labels - Missing

I create labels, save the drawings, close the drawing, then re-open the drawing and they are gone. The feature line object I used to create the label is in place, but the label is missing. Does anyone know how I get the labels back?

If your alignment is drefed the labels will disappear upon reopening the file. I have concluded that it is the alignment that causes the problem. I leave my surfaces drefed and have no issues.
