Two part question here. I have added two buttons to a toolbar for a user created CUIX file named DWCMENU.cuix. I want to share that with all the other users. Do I need to share the DWCMENU.cuix or the ACAD.cuix to let everyone utilize these new tools? After replacing the files, will the new tools be automatically loaded or will each user need to reload the files like in previous versions?

If the toolbar is located in DWCMenu.cuix then you only need to make that available to the others. But they need to load that CUIx file as a partial to their main CUIx file.
If you are trying to provide constant updates to a CUIx file for multiple users you need to consider using an enterprise CUIx instead of your current approach.
As for your 2nd question, once again, as long as the updated toolbar is in that CUIx file, it will update the users as long as that file is centrally located or pushed to the users.

Thanks for the advice. I've read a little about enterprise CUIX files. The downside of having the menu files centrally located is that if we have a server fail, we would no longer have menus. This means that everyone has to have all the menu files stored on their hard drive. It's tedious but I believe it to be the only way to insure none of us has downtime even with a server crash. Thank you for the help.

Two things --
a) how often does the server go down? if it's a significant amount, then it's way past time to resolve that problem! If it's an insignificant number, then shared network menus should not be a significant problem.
b)and if the server is gone, how do you expect to get any work done? surely you don't have people in the office working on drawing files locally?

Server failure is maybe 3 times a year but bossman wants NO down time and IT guy pretty much says I can't put any AC files on the server. Drawing files are not local unless there is a server issue, then the files can be saved locally and work can continue. I don't make the rules just gotta work within them :)
