Does Revit know when there is a sloped ceiling and cuts the interior elevation to represent a sloped ceiling and not a flat ceiling? I'm getting some objects being displayed in the background. If not what is the work around to display a sloped ceiling or cut the viewport to be a polygon shaped viewport to follow the correct path of the ceiling?

Not sure which Revit version version you are using but in 2010 after you have placed your ceiling use the slope arrow tool on the ceiling that you want sloped. See the attached image of a Section with the ceiling sloped. In this case I created a section however you should get a similar result using the interior elevation view.

Viewports in Revit dont do polygons right now, and they dont respect cut objects in the room as boundaries either.
To make the items behind go away, you have to use a Masking Region.
