Show the direction of the stairs

I have attached two images. The Revit-way and the way I want to show the direction of a stair. (Not with this thick line of course, this is a quick sketch to make you understand)

Can I do it automatically?
Also, if I try to place some lines, the first part is under the stairs since the cutting plane is at 1.00m high.

Is there a way to show this how I want to?

I've never been able to get the default arrows to work correctly on anything but the most basic stair. We just turn them off and draw in annotation arrows.

A plan region will let you change where the cut line appears. The arrows are best turned off and annotated separately IMHO.
