structural member shows as line in elevation?

I have a circular structural member that I am actually using graphically as a pipe for a garbage chute. It sticks out the top of the roof and shows up as a thick line in elevation. How do I change it show it shows as geometry? I need it to look like the pipe that it is. Thanks.

never mind - view was set to coarse, medium works fine and shows as should. Cheers Peter.
