Newbie looking for quick panning

I'm new to Revit and am loving it. I may be missing something, but while working through tutorials, I find myself looking for a quick panning tool, like hitting the arrow key to go left, or a "hand" tool where I can grab the screen and pull it. I see the "2D Wheel" has a pan feature as part of it, but its cumbersome to activate the wheel, selecting "PAN", etc. I'd like something faster. I tried making a shortcut key to the 2D Wheel and/or PAN, but it's not looking like you can to that (to my rookie eyes).

I'm sure I'm missing something, or are quickie panning tools absent?
