Attaching Drawings

I have created a drawing with an aerial, made sure the aerial and the drawing were at the same coordinate system. I am going to attach it to a new drawing so that it will bring the aerial in the correct location. (since the FDO connection shifts it in paper space).

BUT I get an Map message. Drawing ID is not valid

I have had this issues on just trying to bring in line work like this too. Any suggestions what Im doing wrong?

I use Civil 3D 2010

I also sometimes get these errors, see attached.
