All-
I have one conceptual mass, with another family (Mass) referenced in. I now need to combine the contents of these two files. Is there a way to import the actual geometry of the second mass... I don't need to link or reference it, I just need to merge the two files.
A copy-link-in-place command would work.
Help? Thanks.

Further information, with fingers crossed that it sparks some sort of reply:
The main family contains a mass-void that will need to clip ALL geometry. This includes all geometry within the family (currently clipped) as well as the referenced mass-object (not currently clipped). If there is a way for a mass-void to clip imported/referenced geometry, that would do the trip. Can it?
(OPTION 1)
I would simply copy-paste material in from the referenced file, but the actual geometry does not 'exist'... the referenced file contains only a single line and several parameters which result in geometry. As such, I think I would need to select the geometry as it appears when referenced and use some sort of 'copy-in-place', 'make live' or similar command.
(OPTION 2)
I'm just not sure if either of these are possible. Thx.
