I’ve inserted a linked sketchup context model, when I cut a section through the model, it is not being cut, I can still see everything behind the section line (the same problem with elevations)
Any ideas why this strange behavior?

I've done this with 3d CAD files; I assume it's the same for SketchUp. Create an generic in-place family. Link the context model there. It should support depth clipping and section boxes.

In order for any object to be cut, Revit has to know what kind of object it is. SKP files that are directly imported into a project do not belong to any category.

As Jay says, you need to either start an in-place family and pick a category, or start a family from a template and then import the sketchup geometry. Then insert this "family" into a project. This assigns a category, and then the sketchup file will be cut by sections/plans.
