Rooms boundaries and curtain walls

Right now in our model, each time a new room tag is put in, the boundary is the exterior face of the perimeter wall (of another linked Model). The exterior walls are simple curtain walls, which have user created family panels built-in. How can I make the interior face of the wall become the boundary, without going through every room and floor and manually drawing all the boundaries?

The day will also be coming soon where we will have to show the area up to the interior edge of the wall as one figure as well as the area up to the edge of the exterior as another.

Look under Room and Area Settings, I think you can control the location that the Room
defaults to?

As far as showing " net" and "gross" areas, try using Area Boundaries and Area Plans
instead of Rooms for those purposes.
