how do i place a dimension with no text on it. or how can overwrite the tex diemnsion?

Not possbile as far as I can see... I had myself to overwrite with text in the past.

There is no way to override dimension values in Revit. Create a new dimension style using a very small text size, then you may place some other opaque text on top.

I wonder why would you want to do that?
I sometimes need to create a dimension that is actually a note. Like " This dimension to be determined by qualified astrologer". I use a blank text for my dimension text. I have attached the one that someone posted here a while ago.

Draw a text note with two leaders, one pointing left, the other right, and draw the extension lines.
What if the area is too small to fit the text? Can you drag the text outside aside and leave the leaders in place? I know there is a moral repugnance about faking dimensions, but sometimes the need is great. :-)
