Conditional formatting doesn't show on paper... I have a volume field that I want it with a grey cell background if it is zero... But this doesn't show on the sheet...
I hope there is a way to do this... otherwise this is another "non finished" feature of Revit...
I don't see why this is difficult...

Sorry, when it appeared in RME originally that was my first distraction. Now that it is also available in RAC and RST it will continue to confound. Apparently it is deemed an internal calculation/checking tool only and we wouldn't want to expose "errors" in a final document.

The graphical use you describe is similar to the Visibility/Graphics and Object Styles dialogs where unavailable fields are filled with gray to let us know that we "can't" do anything there. A gray field in a schedule can "tell a reader, no value here". But in our schedules does it mean a value should be there or is irrelevant? So much of what we do relies on setting a convention (symbols and general notes pages) so the reader knows what we mean.

Some would like to use color for graphical quality, like shading in every row to make it easier to read a big schedule. If we got that feature I wonder what would happen to printing conditional formatting assuming that could be to? Satisfying cross purposes with a tool is one of many tricky things in designing software.

Well, I can understand that sometimes this can be tricky but I can think hundreds of possible scenarios where this would be useful... Also, I always thought that schedules should work like Excel so I would like to see more tools controlled by the user and not by Revit programmers...

Believe it or Not --- Architects need this information graphically displayed. I do not have time the be blown away by the lack of follow through once again..This is just like not being able to display occupancy calcs in a room tag. I'll tell you what .... I'll take a screen shot of the schedule and re-import it as an image after I fuddle throug cleaning it up in photoshop..., and when it looks like **** I'll try and sell that...

great...
