Solid bar with twist and fit between two radii

I am drawing a ladder with hooped man-caged that is a constant radius for most of the length, then flares out at the end.

I am trying to draw the vertical bars that connect the cage hoops.

This means the shape will have to twist AND flare out in order for a flat side of the bar to be flush with the hoops.

I attached an example with text pointing to the most complex bar.

I have no idea how to do it. I tried drawing it as a 3D Polyline, then extrude. Nope.

Tried a sweep, lofting. No luck.

Anyone have an idea?

Here's an approximation.
I put a 1" internal rad bend on all of them and separated the twist from the bend in the red ones.
I used Loft for the twisted part. I think a bit more work could give a closer result.
