Turning on specific worksets from linked files?

Hey guys,

We're working on a three building campus project at the office. We currently have 1 site plan file and three building files linked to the site plan file.

Each of the building files has worksharing turned on and we paid attention to make sure that each of the building files has an "exterior shell" workset for all the exterior walls and roofs.

In the site plan file we made each linked building file a separate workset to be able to turn them on/off individually. Is there a way to "go into" each linked building workset and turn on only the exterior shell worksets of each building?

Currently, you'd have to go into each file, and create a view, ofthe type you want, with just that exterior view set. Then you'd have to go back you your campus model, and set each model to Custom view, and then the specific view name in each model.
