Hello,
I am doing research about architectur software and I would like your opinion!
I already have a small list of softwares:
- Softplan
- ArchiCAD
- Linear
- ARKEY
- BuilDesk
- Bentley
- Stabiplan
- The twee-snoeken
- Vabi
- VectorWorks
- AutoCAD
- Bink Software

I am looking for information such as pros/cons, ease of use, after sales service, Training, Reputation, completeness...
All the information you could give me would be welcome!

Thanks

Revit - Autodesk's pride and joy ( not originally made by them ) BY FAR THE BEST ONE.

- Softplan - Never heard of it
--- ArchiCAD - Good ... in "some circles" (macs). Does not quite stand up to Revit.
- Linear - Never heard of it
- ARKEY - Never heard of it
- BuilDesk - Never heard of it
--- Bentley - British pride :D quite good... the only one up to the task to face Revit.
- Stabiplan - Never heard of it
- The twee-snoeken - Never heard of it
- Vabi - Never heard of it
-- VectorWorks - Used the version 12 on a mac... i wouldn't recommend it
-- AutoCAD - Good - REQUIRES TRAINING
- Bink Software - Never heard of it

Can't speak for the others but I used Softplan years ago, then switched to Autodesk Architectural Desktop and finally to Revit in 2007. When I used them Softplan and Architectual Desktop did not compare favorably to Revit which is fundamentally a much better and sophisticated program and which, by the way, is getting real nice after the 2010 update and from what I read about 2011. Good luck on your research.
