Hi Folks,

Certain computers in our office are unable to update a datalinked table. The information provided when selecting the table indicates that the table was unable to be updated because "Excel Cannot be found" Excel is installed on the "trouble" computers and even though excel may be running the same condition exists. Has anyone had the same problem? We are using AutoCAD 2009 and Office 2003

Thanks!!

Are there any differences between these PC's? E.g. 64 bit vs. 32 bit. AFAIK MSO2003 is installed as 32 bit always ... this may be the cause of ACad 64 bit not finding it.

Other than that maybe a repair / reinstall of MSO could help.

Having the same problem, Autocad can not find Excel - its there and opened.

Also having this issue: Data link can not be created because excel can not be found

Does anyone know how to tell Autocad where excel is located. 2010 & 2011 both are lost as to where Excel resides.

Have you tried a reinstall of Office?

Re-installed MS Office 2003 and still same error message. I do still have ACA 2010 installed (running 2011). If I change the output file to MSO '97, it will export.
