Can I edit annotation and hatches to call out detail or do I have to change materials from object??

Not sure I quite understand the question, but---

In a call out view, you can:

1. Use the model to show the cut patterns which are part of the model/families.

2. Use Detail Components over the model to add specific detail items and use them to tag/keynote with "smart annotations", and add filled regions/masking regions,
use "edit cut profile" tool, the "line work tool", etc.

3. Use Material Tags to tag materials in the model.

Or any combination of the above.

We try to not rely on too much "2D drafting" as this is sort of anti-BIM--use the model as much as possible, so you are not using Revit like Autocad or other 2D cadd programs.

However, at a certain level of detail, you usually will need to fall back to 2D drafting methods. Try using Detail Components/families as much as possible, avoid drawing detail lines and filled regions.

Use "smart annotations" instead of text notes. Let Revit "pull" the information out of the model automatically from the Keynote, Mark, Assembly Code, "metatdata" which you place in the Materials and Families--so the annotations are simply "reading" the info
contained in the model. This is where BIM differs drastically from Cadd.
