Hi there,

Fairly new to revit. I'd say I'm intermediate almost. I get how it works, I feel like I can model a lot of things, and I'm starting to look for best practices.

I have a lot of trouble with roof/fascia in residential.

In order to get the fascia to look right under the roof, I feel like I have to make a roof that is just sheathing. Then make another under it for the trusses.. warning, double work. Not good.

What I'm doing now is making a roof that is just sheathing and then a soffit, and I'm actually putting the fascia on the soffit.

How do you guys do this so it looks right, sections right etc?

One roof assembly for the top chord and sheathing and finish. One for the bottom chord. then I use a compound ceiling for soffits because the roof soffit tool is untaggable.
