Is there a known issue with structure labelling in split profile views in C3D 2008?

I have had a problem in a few drawings now where the stucture profile label command does nothing when you select a structure in a split profile view. If you use the same style on profile view with no splits in the same drawing the label works.
The other problem is when i label pipes in split views. The labels hold on the first few split views but the remaining dissappear after saving.

Are you labeling a single part in profile or entire network in profile?

The labels do act funny in the split views!

No not just in 2008, I have not done any split views in 2010, so I'm not sure if it works better in the lastest version or not. I just remember that when I've worked with split views in the past I had some trouble very similar to your problem, labels would disapear at times. I don't recall it being a big or constant problem.

I've used split views in 09 and 10. Haven't had issues like this.

I am now using Civ3d 2010 and have problems with the pipe "ellipses" showing up in the incorrect spot on the profile view. See attached. The program is putting the ellipses as if the profile view were not split.

Any suggestions?

I'm having the same issue; 2009 latest SP on Vista and XP. I've recreated the profile view, and it does the same. Please tell me somebody knows of a fix, otherwise I'll have to explode this profile view.

I'm still exploding in profile.
And now I've decided to turn the display off for my plan pipes and show then with polylines. The reason i do this is because I use pipe centerline with ST, SA, and W linetype but if the pipe isn't flowing with the stationing, then my linestype appear upside down in contract sheets.

My next project, I'm keeping design and production files separate.

I have not had any problems with the pipe elipses showing up but then i write the styles, it does sound like it may be a style setting though.

as for the centerline of the pipe showing the linetype in the wrong direction an easy way to fix that is to remove the pipe and insert it in the opposite direction if you still want the information to be inteligent.

most of the issues that people encounter i have found out can usually be easily fixed with a style adjustment.

hope this helps
