Hi all:
I'm working on existing building inventories, coding rooms with FICM numbers. Is there a way to enter the same value in a field for multiple rooms at one time? It seems I have to enter the FICM value in its parameter cell (for instance) separately for each room.

Could you use a Schedule Key for this?

just a thought, as I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do.

cheers.....

Just copy your schedule and sort them in a manner that puts the same type of rooms on one lines (uncheck show all instances). Then enter your value just once.

As Cliff said, a Key is great, particularly if its more than one parameter field.

If its just the one field, you can also select the room objects in the model, and fill them in through the properties dialogue while you have more than one room selected.

I haven't used Key Schedules before, but it seems this is a good way to populate similar rooms with similar parameters. I'm going to try it. wmullet's suggestion is also a good one for the task I am trying to do.
