Another plea for Revit help!
I'm attempting to build a balcony enclosure/guardrail, the form of which is driven by a larger 'move' in the building elevation. The main balcony exterior face is sloping in section (inward/outward, depending on the specific building location) while the 'end' caps are sloping in elevation.
(See attached images.)
I've tried to build this as a line or curtain-panel based family, but haven't gotten it to work properly. In an ideal world, the implementation would go like this:
(1) In plan, draw a line locating the exterior face of the balcony enclosure and this defining the balcony length. (2) Open a section and set the Facade Angle of the exterior face (item '1' in attachments). (3) Open main facade elevation, set the Left and Right angles of the balcony.
I've started working on this and have setup the logic for all three angles. I cannot, however, seem to build an extrusion or similar element that will adjust for both the Facade Angle and Left/Right angle, as would be required for the 'end' caps.
The attached family includes an extrusion that responds to the 'Facade Angle (in section), but not to the Left or Right angles (In elevation). In truth this extrusion could be quite thing (insulated glass) with three panels composing the left, right and front balcony faces.
Help if you can. Thanks. A ton. Again.
