Dear all,
I have created local file by copying central file and detached it from central. but still it is giving me save to central option and no local save.

Detach from central will create a new central file that is no longer tied to the previous central file. There is no supported way to "remove" worksets from a file so it "just local saves."

Your back ups will only go back to the point when you detached from central but the Restor Backup tool is on the Collaborate tab on the Synchonize panel. Pick it and browse to your project_backup folder. you won't see anything there but hit Open and it will bring up a list of your restore points.
CAUTION: restore cannot be undone so you may want to save an achive copy before restoring to a backup point.

Annie,
Just to be clear, the way Revit makes backups of workshared files is very different from backups of a standalone file. The standalone is a complete copy (with .001, .002... amended to the file) whereas the Worksharing process creates a "Project_backup" folder adjacent to the Central file. You must keep this backup folder adjacent to your Central file for backups to be accessed in the future.
Creating a backup of a workshared file is through the interface: Collaborate > Restore a backup. Migrate to the backup folder, select it (don't need to go into it, just select it) and Open to see the date/time incremental syncs made by your project team. Select a version to access, and choose to Save As (good for creating archive copies) or Rollback (best for catastrophic recovery - see Eric's caution above!)
Hope that clarifies.
