I just can't seem to do it !!
My foundation wall is higher than my slab. I have a garage door to put in. So I need to lower the wall at that place.
I tried putting in a mass and cutting it from the wall, I tried putting a component in place, I tried putting in a void.
Nothing seem to do it...

Break the wall either side and reduce the height

Why can't you just edit the profile of the wall?

What you see in the PDF file is the mass I tried to put in my foundation to cut it. But it didn't work.
If I take the mass out my foundation is whole again.
I will try again this morning.... hoping to get it right someday !!!

not sure a mass will do it...arent masses for conceptual use mainly?
model an in place void and before you finish, use cut geometry and select the void
then the wall.

That's a simple one. It's the same way you have to create a pier pocket.
Create an inplace void family, and cut the wall with the void, then finish family.
It's an order thing, if you don't do it exactly right, it won't work.
Check out some of the other threads on pier pocket and pier voids or wall voids.
Paul Anderson had a nice little video on one of his threads if it's still around.

I finally found what works for me.
I selected my foundation then click on edit profile.
It was so simple and yet it took me 2 days to figure it out !!!
Thanks everyone for your help !!
