View Full Version : 2010 - Curtain Wall Mullion Offsets Strangely

Hi All,

I'm having a very strange issue with a curtain wall and curtain wall mullion. I've attached a screen capture as well as a revit file with just the CW and Mullions.

Basically, I'm using the same type of mullion through out. Mullions that were originally modeled are centered on the grid, just like I would expect.

Any new mullions that I create, are justified right or left on that grid. In fact, I now have the capability of adding two mullions to the same grid.

Has anyone encountered this? Anyone know a good fix?

Thank you,

Bryan

I suspect something is wrong with the mullion profile that is loaded, or the position
of the mullion is off in the curtainwall settings.

Check the settings in the attachment for position and size/dimensions of the mullions.

Also check you mullion profile and see if it has an origin and reference plane
with asymmetrical positioning.

cheers

Thanks for the reply, Cliff.

It is unlikely that the issue is caused by a mullion type setting, or a mullion profile issue. I say this because all mullions in this particular example are the exact same Type.

It's just that originally placed mullions are centered on the curtain grid. New mullions, of any type, are not.

Any other thoughts?

Bryan

Did you ever figure this out? We're having the same problem.

Are the Panels that have the incorrect Mullion the Default System Panel?
Sometimes i select the Panel, and swap it out for a Curtain Wall Type, which in turn add the Mullions to the Border of the Panel (justified not centre)
