I notice that some of my windows will come into the legend and some will not
the ones that will not are somewhat complex combo windows, any ideas?

It appears that one cannot dimension an object within a legend, if this is true
that is disappointing as it is common to dimension door frames transoms etc.

it is true that you can not dimension the legend objects... yet. David Conant (i think) mentioned in another thread that they were working on making this happen but thought there was enough value without dimensioning to include it in 7.0. Hopefully 8.0 will have dimensioning. Or even 7.1.

This is what David said, ... together with a work-around for the problem.

In 7.0, dimensions do not work in legend views. The elements you see in legend views are effictively snapshots of the actual objects so that they don't participate in schedules and exports. As such, their references do not propogate to the legend view. Dimensions require references to work. We are working on methods to expose them in the future, but it was not possible to get them included during a single release cycle. We felt that although this is a definite limitation for door and window legends, there is sufficient value in the feature for many other legends that we should ship it.
A workaround for the 7.0 version is to create a rectangle of detail lines sized to the dimensions of the desired component. Dimension the rectangle and place the legend component on top. While it can't be aligned automatically (again, no references  ) visual alignment should be adequate for most purposes.
