Ok. Not sure what is going on. I check VG and lines are turned on. The model lines don't show in elevation, but I look in 3D and they are there. Have cycled through detail level as well and set the cut plane to all three options. Any ideas?
thanks.

Check to see which workplane they are set to maybe?
Make sure you don't have any fill regions in the foreground hiding the model lines.
Also when applying model lines you need to set the work surface so they know where to attach themselves. Do they appear to be floating away from your surface in the 3D view? If so this is a problem. Consequently the model lines could be in front of the view foreground cut limit.

Ok. It's official. I'm an idiot. Thanks for your replies fellas, but no bit of advice could have saved me from myself. I'm elevating an elevator shaft and the elevations all look the same. Needless to say I was looking for my lines on the wrong elevation... Doh!
