This has been on my nerves for a while and I have been working thru it, BUT I am at a point right now that this is just ______.

It seems like whenever my drawings that I am working on get to\over a certain size (which seems to vary), the “drawing” is having a hard time correctly showing a more complex hatch pattern than the Ansi patterns. Does anybody know why this is happening and does anybody know how to fix it.

Reference attached for examples.

Without even looking at the drawings, I'm betting that the issue is that the drawings are located way out in space, a long ways from 0,0. Hatch patterns are particularly prone to drawing poorly when the hatch is in large coordinate areas.

And depending on the version of AutoCAD that you are using, the fix varies.

For 2006 and earlier (I think), you have to set SNAPBASE to a location near your hatch.
For later versions, change the hatch origin in the bhatch dialog.

I tried what you both said it works fine. That is something that I never even thought of. I appreciate your help.

Thank You.
