deleting excluded element from model group

- There is a piece of casework that has lost its host wall and become an excluded object.

- I cannot 'unexclude' / restore it- because the host object is not there- nor can I rehost the object since i cannon even select the object in Group edit mode.

-I cannot ungroup and regroup.

- Cannot figure out the element id

would it work to ungroup , said group and then recreate it without the excluded object ?

unfortunately i cannot regroup- the door numbers will be the biggest pain.
