I remember that a few years ago (maybe more) when you did a Diameter Dimension on a circle and placed the text inside the circle you would get the Text with lines and arrows on both ends of the text going to the circle.

Now when I do a Diameter Dimension and place the text inside the circle you get 1 arrow/line and the text. Is there a setting or a way to force 2 lines/arrows? The attached pic shows what I get now.

I am using AutoCAD 2010.

Thanks,
David

You can set DIMTMOVE and DIMATFIT to 0. DIMTIH can be set to 1 or 0 to set the text above or in the dim line.

Thank you, Richard. DIMTMOVE was already at 0, but DIMATFIT was 3 so I changed it to 0 and updated the Diameter Dimension and it worked.

I noticed in the Properties Palette, that under the FIT heading it changed from Best Fit to Text and Arrows, but in the Palette for a Diameter Dimension I cannot change it, but for other dimensions you can. Any idea why?

Thanks Again,
David

I can only guess that it can't be changed because the dim style has been overridden. When you start the dimstyle (ddim) you can see if it has been overridden as there will be a subset under the dimstyle name.
