maybe you are trying to save down to a format that doest support something that was in the drawing when you opened it.

just to be clear, when you go to options open and save tab, it is set to save in your current format? You didnt nesicarily need to change that setting, it could have been set in your profile by default

I'd suggest doing an Audit and Purge. And don't forget -purge, Regapps.
(always my 1st line of defense for funky messages)

Yes, it would have been nice if you could attach the problem drawing ... but obviously you can't save it

BTW, please attach something other than BMP's as screen captures, preferably PNG or JPG. They open directly in the browser (no need to open Paint) and are a lot smaller as well.

Any Idea why this happened? The only way I know of this happening is when you do not have the native DWG format set in Options as ccowgill mentioned.

BTW, I can't seem to tell what version of AC you're using. From the screen cap's portion of the tool bars it appears to be a 2009/10 product. Is it any type of vertical or straight vanilla, or LT?

Hi I found out the problem, the problem was not really the format it was the space in the drive when ever it runs out of space this message comes up. I had experinced this with another two three users as well and they were also running out of space, when I add extra capacity for the user it resolves the problem, but the message misleading. By the way here we are using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009. But See the image attahed it dosen't allow me to save the drawing in 2009 format.

sorry the browser dont allow me to upload the image.
