I am trying to change the material of my curtain wall system. It is glass currently but I do not want it transparent at all and this only needs to show in renderings. Any input would be helpful.

Ive tried the Revit help but it doesn't seem to change the wall system.

You must edit the Material for curtain panel glazing.

There are a lot of preset Glass materials which you can duplicate and create
your new Kalwall glazing, with a translucency.

Under your Browser, go down to Families>Curtain Panels> System Panels>Glazed or Solid. Then click on Properties and this will show which Material is currently set for the glass in the curtainwall.

Duplicate the Glazed Panel and name it Kalwall, then edit its Material in the material editor. You could begin with a White Frosted Glass, which comes preloaded in Revit,
duplicate it, and change it and then do some test renderings to see how it looks.

Something else to consider when building this in Revit:

Kalwall is a thicker, sandwich panel which wont fit into a normal 1" insulated
glass system found in most curtainwalls/storefronts--so a bit of customization may be required to get the documents looking "real".

I've attached an example of some "Kalwall" that we did on a past project, both in Revit
and then exported to 3dsMax via FBX.

cheers.......

Cliff, what have you found to be the best way to build Kalwall? I will want to add windows and some clear panels also.
Help is much appreciated.
Thanks
