linked CAD file not found

There is a CAD file linked to our revit drawing. I unloaded the CAD file and now want to reload but am getting a message that the file can't be found. I tried reload from and got the same message.the CAD file has not been moved. Is there any way to fix this short of removing and relinking the file?

Are you sure you did not "remove" instead of "unload"?

"Reload from" should work, if the file has not been moved from the server location
where the original linked cad file existed.

If it is only a single cad file, it should not be too hard to "re-link" it in.
Be careful about having it show up in ALL views! look at the check box for that.
