Hello - I am charged with the task of exporting our REVIT project to AutoCAD for a separate office that uses AutoCAD only. They are closer to the site and will be using these drawings during the tender / construction phases.

What is the best way of making these REVIT drawings come into AutoCAD with our regular AutoCAD layers/ colours/ and penweights??

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Regards Peter.

If you go to the Revit Help menu and look up the Export Layers, you will find information on how to go about exporting to specific layer names, pen colors and so on.

We have our exporting set up per our company AutoCAD standards which pretty closely matches AIA...not exactly AIA, but pretty close. It's easy to set up and you only need to do it once.
